The first bottle is a Trifecta Red Blend grown in the Applegate Valley in an exceptional climate, warm and even growing season. Bottled 9/1/09, this is a rich and round wine, with emphasis on the fruit.
Tasting notes reveal round and fruit forward, this is an easy drinking, great food pairing wine. Gentle fruit handling and lees integration have kept the tannins supple. Flavors include black cherry with hints of dust and leather.
The second bottle is the Trifecta Pinot Gris, which completes the trinity of fruit forward, accessible wines destined for fine restaurants and by-the-glass listings. The high levels of acidity serve to balance the residual sugar, making the wine fresh and bright.
This beauty has notes of stonefruit and pear. Made in the Alsatian style, this wine is a great pairing for Terrines, Pate's, Oysters and Sausage. Serve very cold (40 F) to maximize the crisp finish. At warmer temperatures, citrus and apple predominate. |
